GERMAN GOVERNMENT DONATE EQUIPMENTS WORTH 10 MILLLION NAIRA TO NAPTIP
The Executive Secretary of the National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and other Related Maters NAPTIP, Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba has expressed her appreciation to the German Government for the assistance and support that the Agency has received.
She made this statement while receiving the German Ambassador to Nigeria Mrs. Janetzke Wenzel who was at the Agency to donate equipment assistance worth 10milion naira from the German people through the BKA police Training and equipment assistance fund, which aims at increasing the capacity of the Agency’s surveillance team.
Mrs. Jedy-Agba stated that the partnership between the people of Nigeria and the Germans through the German Police was worthwhile especially in the exchange of information, support for investigation and joint capacity utilization and enhancement.
The NAPTIP boss said that this donation would assist the government and people of Nigeria and especially Naptip to push beyond our limitation in the fight against Human Trafficking.
Earlier in her speech, the German Ambassador said she was in the Agency to express the support of her government to Naptip and the country’s anti human trafficking efforts, through the donation of 6mini voice recorders, 4 binoculars, 4 professional (lens) camera, 4 digital professional video recorders, 10 GPS navigators, 4 text magnifiers and 10 desk top computers, inverter for Benin Zonal Office and Headquaters.
She further expressed joy at the achievements of the agency, and indicated willingness to assist the Agency in the future.
She congratulated the Executive Secretary on her appointment and wished her a fruitful tenure.
