NAPTIP Headquaters was commissioned on the 13th of March 2007 at its permanent site at plot 2028, Dalaba Street Wuse Zone 5. In attendance were top Government officals including the Minister of state Interior Frederick Bozimo who represented the President of the Federation Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

The Executive Secretary in her speech expressed her gratitude to the distinguished guests that attended the opening ceremony on March 13, 2007.

She educated the guest on the establishment of NAPTIP and the travails it has faced since its inception. The Executive Secretary also mentioned that the country has moved from tier 2 watch list to tier 2 which is a great achivement for our great country.
President Olusegun Obasanjo, who was represented by the Minister of State for Interior Frederick Bozimo, said that trafficking in persons by nature is a cross border crime, and that the president is committed to eradicating human trafficking.

The Executive Secretary finally thanked all that attended the opening ceremony.
