The Executive Secretary of the National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and other Related Matters (NAPTIP), played host to the UNODC Country Representative, Mrs. Mariam Sissoko at its headquarters on the 13th of January, 2012.

The Country Representative, who was visiting the Agency for the first time stated that her purpose for the visit was to strengthen the relationship and renew existing synergy between both organizations for effective productivity. She also seized the opportunity to acquaint the E.S on ongoing projects such as the capacity building for counselors and social workers of the agency, community dialogue in Iyala Local Government Area of Cross River State, and various public enlightenment projects all under the existing European Union assisted project.

The Executive Secretary in her response expressed her gratitude and stated that NAPTIP must remain in the driving seat of these projects for the purposes of effective accountability and transparency.
