BROADCAST OF ITOHAN- A CALL TO ACTION: AN ANTI HUMAN TRAFFICKING PUBLIC ENLIGHTENMENT INITIATIVE BY WALE ADENUGA PRODUCTIONS

The National Agency For The Prohibition of Traffic in Person and Other Related Matters, (NAPTIP) has finalized arrangements with Wale Adenuga Productions to broad cast a T.V drama showcasing the issues of Human Trafficking, Child abuses, Child Labour and other related issues on the platform of Superstory, a popular Television Drama series on major network in the country.

The project, which is an Anti- Human trafficking Public Enlightenment Initiative, will broadcast on NTA, AIT, WAP T.V and DSTV starting Thursday November 8th, 2012.

Speaking during the public presentation of Itohan, the Executive Secretary who was represented by the Head Media and Communications of NAPTIP, Mr. Arinze Orakwue said that in combating Trafficking in Persons, one of the triggers of the scourge is ignorance and Illiteracy and there’s no better way to deal with it than to partner with WAP to educate Nigerians on the ploys of traffickers and throw light on the dangers of Human Trafficking, illegal migration and other typologies of abuses inherent  in this crime.

The NAPTIP boss said the objective is to take the anti trafficking conversations to the living rooms of Nigerians in their dinner tables and hopefully shock majority of us from our self-denial concerning this crime that shames us all.

In His response, the Chairman/Producer of WAP Wale Adenuga MFR, thanked the NAPTIP boss for the opportunity to be a part of the anti human trafficking campaign and stated that the big story is inspired by the excellent work that NAPTIP has been doing since 2003. He stated that ITOHAN has been recorded in several countries around the world; interpreted by the best of Nigerian Actors and comes with so much education and entertainment.

Mrs. B. Jedy-Agba implored all and sundry to become a participant of this fight by watching and paying close attention to this much anticipated NAPTIP drama. A promo of the T.V Drama is attached.
